General Comments |
Mike Emerson was admitted as a solicitor in New South Wales in 1975 and in Queensland in 1993. He has a Master of Laws in Dispute Management from the University of Queensland.
Mike is an accredited Family Law Specialist and principal of Emerson Family Law, a specialist Brisbane Family Law firm.
Mike practices exclusively in Family Law. He is an accredited mediator and arbitrator and a member of the Panel of Independent Children’s Lawyers for Queensland and the Federal Magistrates Court Panel of Conciliators for property matters. Mike is also a principal of Brisbane Mediations which he conducts jointly with Psychologist, Denise Britton.
Mike was also involved in local government for approximately ten years and served as Mayor of Grafton City Council for six terms. He was the recipient of the New South Wales Law Society Solicitors’ Community Service Award in 1990. |
